It has become a practice nowadays for parents, especially moms to learn/study things and do things themselves for the children's sake. If you want to educate them in the proper way, please make them learn and do things themselves-both in homely affairs and in the outdoor domains.

Why people are so much particular about Sachin's retirement, I fail to understand. In such a case, there are a lot many in politics or film worlds to do so long before Sachin should do so. At least he is doing justice to his profession compared to many others who stick on to their positions without being of any good to anyone.

Professional ethics

As an English teacher I go on experimenting with newer and newer methods of teaching and try to implement them according to the capacity of the student before me and I'm always worried about whether my students use better language rather than whether I do it myself. I'd like to be remembered as a good English teacher than a good English user.

മലയാള സിനിമ ഇന്ന്

മലയാള സിനിമയുടെ അന്ത്യകൂദാശക്കുള്ള ഒരുക്കങ്ങളായി. കഴിഞ്ഞ പത്തുപതിനഞ്ചു കൊല്ലമായി പലരുടെയും അക്ഷീനശ്രമങ്ങള്‍ ഇതിനു ആക്കം കൂട്ടിയിട്ടുണ്ട്, പ്രിഥ്വിരാജ്, ജയസൂര്യ,നവ്യാ നായര്‍, സുരാജ്.........................അസ്ഥിവാരം തോണ്ടാന്‍ സന്തോഷ്‌ പണ്ഡിറ്റും എത്തിക്കഴിഞ്ഞു. അതോടെ തീര്‍ന്, എല്ലാം. നല്ല സിനിമകളും നല്ല സിനിമാഗാനങ്ങളും ഇനി ഓര്‍മ്മകള്‍ മാത്രം.

ആള്ദൈവത്ത്തിന്റെ വിവാദപ്രസ്താവന

‎"സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ സ്കൂളില്‍ പഠിച്ചു പുരത്തുവരുന്നവരാണ് നെക്സലുകള്‍ ആവുന്നത്" . കൊള്ളാം. ഇല്ലാത്ത ശ്രീത്വത്തിന്റെ ഭാണ്ടക്കെട്ടുകള്‍ പേരിനൊപ്പം ചുമക്കേണ്ടിവരുന്ന ഒരു ഹതഭാഗ്യന്റെ ജല്പ്പനമാണിത്. സിംഹാസനങ്ങളും പരിചാരകരും ഭക്തരും പല്ലക്ക് ചുമക്കുന്നവരും ഒക്കെയായി സുഖലോലുപതയുടെ പാരമ്യത്തില്‍ വിലസുന്നവര്‍ ഇത്തരം മണ്ടത്തരങ്ങള്‍ എഴുന്നള്ളിക്കാന്‍ പാടില്ലാത്തതാണ്.ചുരുങ്ങിയപക്ഷം നീതിക്കും ജനാധിപത്യ മൂല്യങ്ങള്‍ക്കും വേണ്ടി സര്‍വതും വലിച്ചെറിഞ്ഞ ബാബാആംതെ,മേധാപട്കര്‍,അരുന്ധതിറോയ്,അജിത,സിവിക്‌,തുടങ്ങി നിരവധി മനുഷ്യാവകാശപ്രവര്ത്തകരുടെ ജീവിതമെന്കിലും അദ്ദേഹം ശ്രദ്ധിക്കേണ്ടതാണ്.സ്ഥാനമാനങ്ങളും ആദരങ്ങളും പിടിച്ചുപറ്റി ഗിന്നസ്ബൂക്‌ ലകഷ്യമാക്കി ഓരോ കാര്യങ്ങള്‍ ചെയ്യുന്നതിനിടയ്ക്ക് അതിനൊക്കെ എവിടെ സമയം! ആള്‍ദൈവങ്ങളുടെ നേതാവേ നമോവാകം.

കേരളവും ബംഗാളും മറ്റും ഇന്നനുഭവിക്കുന്ന സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യത്തിനും അവകാശങ്ങള്‍ക്കും നമ്മള്‍ നക്സലുകളോട്, അവര്‍ ചിന്തയ ചോരയോട്, ഒരുപാടു കടപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്ന യാഥാര്‍ത്ഥ്യം മറക്കരുത്.നമ്മളാകട്ടെ, അവര്‍ക്ക് നന്ദികേടുകള്‍ മാത്രം പകരം നല്‍കിയവര്‍.നന്ദികെട്ടവര്‍.

പിറവത്തെ ആഘോഷം

മാലിന്യ നിര്‍മാര്‍ജനം, കുടിവെല്ലപ്രശ്നം തുടങ്ങിയ അടിയന്തിര പ്രശ്നങ്ങള്‍ പരിഹരിക്കാനുല്ലപ്പോഴും പിറവത്തെ വിജയാഘോഷങ്ങള്‍ ആണല്ലോ ഏറെ പ്രധാനം......! ആഘോഷങ്ങളും അരിയിട്ടുവാഴ്ച്ചകളും പട്ടാഭിഷേകങ്ങളും മുറയ്ക്ക് നടക്കട്ടെ...........! മക്കള്‍മാഹാത്മ്യവും പുത്രവാത്സല്യവും നീണാള്‍ വാഴട്ടെ.

നിന്റെ അഴുകിയ ഭക്ഷണം,നിന്റെ മക്കളുടെ വിസര്‍ജ്യം പേറുന്ന പോതിക്കെട്ടുകള്‍,നിന്റെ ഉച്ചിഷ്ടം,നിന്റെ കഫം നിറച്ച കോളാമ്പികള്‍,നിന്റെ പഴുപ്പ് തുടച്ച തുണിക്കെട്ടുകള്‍,നിന്റെ ഭാര്യയുടെ ആര്‍ത്തവരക്തം പുരണ്ട തുണിക്കഷണങ്ങള്‍-ഇതെല്ലാം വലിച്ചെറിയേണ്ടത് എന്റെ സന്തതികളുടെ മുകളിലല്ല.നിന്റെ വിസര്‍ജ്യം നീ തന്നെ മറവുചെയ്യണം.അതിനു കഴിയുന്നില്ലെങ്കില്‍ നീ തന്നെ തിന്നു തീര്‍ക്കണം, പന്നിയെപ്പോലെ.
